Suprisingly Insightful

Don' t you love when God shows you insight?

No matter what the source or the matter on which he shows you, isn't it amazing to think "Wow, I never realized that God, thank you! I will from now on appreciate this." Well I had one of these moments the other night and the source of this insight came from a 7 year old little girl!

So on Friday night I babysat 5 kids over night so my bosses at the salon could have a night away for Chad (the husband) 's birthday! These are super easy going kids! I already knew it would be a fun night!

I picked up the kids from school (3 0f Chad and Rashelle's kids and 2 of their cousins) and headed back to their home! Where Aaron was waiting for us because he was home for the weekend and decided he could come hang out with us for a couple of hours before heading up to Nevada City. I cut Aaron's hair and then Aaron and I and the 2 little girls (Karah and Ruthie) played hide and go seek, clue, colored and just laughed and talked! It was so nice having Aaron there! The kids LOVE him and I can't help but love the way he is with kids!! I mean come on ladies!! When a man is good with kids is such an attractive quality! :)

We would sneak an occasional kiss when the kids weren't looking! At one point -
Ruthie: Aawin, come on! what are you doing?
Aaron : Sorry, I'm coming! I just had to give Molly something really quick!
Ruthie: (Silence).. What.... a kiss?
Aaron: (Silence).... (Chuckle) Yup.

Aaron left at about 5 and here is where the insight comes in! karah the 7 year old asked if she could brush my hair (um who doesn't love getting their hair done?? I LOVE these kids!) While She is brushing away this conversation happened (Remember she is 7 ) :

Karah: You and Aaron look at each other like I have never seen anyone look at anybody before!
Me: We do?
Karah: Yes, I hope somebody to looks at me that way someday!
Me: I promise somebody will look at you that way!
Karah Smiles
Me: What does is look like?
Ruthie(age 6): umm love? (duh molly!)

Insight sighting! A 6 year old and 7 year old noticed the way Aaron and I look at each other!?!? I don't think I have ever appreciated so much the love that Aaron looks on me with! I mean I have always noticed but I never knew it was evident to everyone else! I mean I always feel the love I have for him seeping out my pores! But I never knew it was something a little girl would see and long for! I feel sooo incredibly lucky!! I have a man who loves me so much that he even shows me love without talking to me, touching me or doing anything for me. He just looks at me, and I feel loved. Every girl deserves this. I hope every one of you has felt this! I will never take it for granted again! Thank you Karah for giving me perspective on one of Gods incredible gifts that I have never fully appreciated before. Thank you God for giving me Aaron and his eyes that look on me with a love that makes me feel special and beautiful. And thank you Aaron for loving me and making me feel loved beyond what I ever knew possible :)

Look for God's insight today on something you may have over looked, or not fully appreciated, but maybe others notice! It will bring a ray of sunshine and insight into your day, I promise :)

You are in Luck! I'm gonna teach you! :)

1. start the braid like you would a normal french braid
2. once it comes time to loop the bottom section back in - drop that section out and pull up different hair from beside the hair you dropped, and braid that in!

3. continue this always dropping the bottom section and pulling up more :)

I'm Baack!

Hello Bloggers! Let's just say I took the summer off from blogging! :) or we could say I couldn't think of anything to blog about... or we could say I was lazy with my blog.. but I like the one about taking the summer off! Having Aaron home was wonderful, Working a lot has been profitable and fun and Hawaii was an adventure that I will never forget! :)
Anyways I have found new inspiration to revamp my blog :
1. My wonderful Fiance' informed me I haven't blogged in soooo long, and he is now back at college so this will give me a good way to keep him updated and provide him (and you) with some entertainment!
2. Same said Fiance' has started his own blog! which totally motivates me to hop back on the blogger bus and keep up :) He is an excellent writer and I would love it if you gave his blog a read :) www.64overall.blogspot.com
3. I have stuff to blog about!! :) my new found obsession with Pinterest has given me recipes to share, crafts to rave about and hair styles to experiment with so look out my friends! I have much to share! :)

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there!!
Mom's are super hero's! This I strongly believe to be true!

They:
Wipe a nose, wash the clothes.
Stay up all night, comfort a fright.
Dry many tears, count the years.
Be your biggest fan, give advice when finding a man.
Shop for the perfect prom dress, when given reason about you they stress.
Cry when made proud, say "shhh!" when things are loud.
Miss showers they would like to take, yummy things they always bake.
Make their children s life better then they ever had, make it all better when they are feeling sad.
Forgiveness to them is a given, and they'll teach you HE IS RISEN.
Buy a new ice cream because the old one is all over the floor, take a trip to the sea shore.
Plan a wedding, buy new bedding.
Love their child with all their heart, call a bunch of scribbles a work of art.

Who else could do all these things?? They are not easy, They are tiring. Only a mother! When I wrote this, I was thinking of my mother :)Mom, you are a super hero! I have always said when I grow up I want to be a mom! I still find this to be true! Thank you mom for giving me someone to look up to and someone to want to be :) I love you!

I am so excited to be a mom someday and be one of these superheros! :)

and just to make you laugh I put Aaron and I's pictures through a website that shows you what your kids could look like by morphing two pictures together and this is what our future daughter could possibly look like!

Apparently it is national Star Wars day and my closet nerdy-ness comes out because I think that saying is hilarious! And I do love the star wars movies! I have seen them all :) Anyone else a closet Star Wars nerd? Anybody? :)

In Other News

I have not blogged in forever! So here is the update! Aaron was home for spring break! Which was amazing and wonderful! We got to have so much quality time together! We got our engagement pics taken! (Thank you Lisa!) Aaron made me a special dinner! (He homemade lasagna, and made a Reese's PB cheesecake cake!! Delicious! My man can cook!) And also we spent a day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! Where it was raining off and on all day so we pretty much walked on to every ride, got to see the walrus from "50 First Dates" and got soaked watching the Shouka the killer whale show in the rain.. In the splash zone! We are crazy, but I loved every minute of it! :)

Then, as you all know, We flew to Seattle for my moms birthday! :) Also for Easter, and Max's birthday! Soo much fun and Annie's blog showed tons of great pictures from that trip! :)

So now I am back home! Awaiting the salon I'll be working at to open and enjoying the nice weather! Spring has (finally) Sprung!! Time for popsicle's and fun in the sun :) May the Fourth be with you! :)

This saying holds true for me! :) There is something so precious, so tender, so lovely about a kiss! Something about them that gives you a warm and fuzzy, loved and cared for feeling!! It doesn't even have to be me being kissed!! I mean of course those are my favorite kind (From Aaron!) But even in movies there is something that touches my heart about a long awaited kiss with great chemistry behind it! Am I right?

Singing in the Rain!

The forecast this week is 10 straight days of rain..
and you know what? I'm not sad! Not even a little!

I mean sure... the entire month of march has probably had 2 sunny days and I could desperately use a sun tan but honestly... I love the rain!

I was never a "rain,rain, go away" kind of girl. I was the "Singing in the Rain" girl!

I have fond memories of coming home from school on a rainy day to the smell of chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven! I was a fan of indoor recess because that meant we got to gather in the multi-purpose room and watch Disney movies and the teachers would make popcorn!! I mean seriously maybe I was a weird kid but that SO beat running around and sweating! I love the rain!

so lets look on the bright side people!! Maybe finding the positive will make you like the rain a little more!! Here are my favorite things to do when its raining!! :
- Watch rainy day movies! Yes, in my house this is a genre.. (ex. Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, scary movies like the shining or the skeleton key, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast)
- Fall asleep to sound of rain on the roof! (so relaxing!)
- Sit by the fire (Nothing says cozy like a fireplace)
- Eat soup! (Rainy days call for soup!)
- Do a puzzle (I forgot how fun those are!)
- Play cards (any game!)
- Make hot chocolate!
- Use the cute umbrella you forget you have! (Come on you know its fun!)

And my favorite

- Snuggle up with significant other (in my case Aaron)

Bridal Show and New Stuff!

A friend asked if I gave up my blog for lent so i decided that was probably a good hint that I don't post as much as I should.. :) So I'm posting an extra good blog to make up for my lack of blogs!

Anyways..

Yesterday my mom and I went to the Auburn Bridal Show. It wasn't a very big show but it was so fun!! My mom paid the $5 entry fee and I was told to sign in at the entry booth as the bride and enter to win a variety of prizes and get a big blue bag that tells the vendor "I'm the bride" and they fill it with fliers and swag!! Sweet right? I was so excited!! I got candy and samples and lip gloss and bath stuff!! Not to mention a congrats and a "What a lovely ring!" from every vendor! It was so much fun! We pretty much have our caterer and cake bakery picked and we don't even have a date in sight! Gosh! the samples were so yummy! I even won a gift basket! My mom and I were at the back of the building and the raffles were being given away at the entrance... SO when they called my name and announced "Molly Miller? going once...?" I took off running and knocked over a photographers sign! :) Don't worry I got there in time and won a basket filled with a bottle of wine, some fancy trail mix and truffles! (I'm keeping the truffles, my mom got the trail mix and I'm giving Aaron's mom the wine! win-win-win!) I would say it was a very successful outing and I now want to hit every bridal show in the area! :)

On to the New Stuff!!

I have discovered a few amazing things I just have to share!

First, Naiad Soaps and lip balms!

sold on Etsy or in bulk for wholesale on a different site (I love the product so much I'm considering selling some of the soaps and lip balms as a side thing at my station in the salon)

at the bridal show a travel agent selling honeymoon deals was giving brides bath fizzies and really cute lip balm, which I absolutely love! So i looked up the label on the back and everything the company sells has such cute packaging and I tell you.. the lip balm is amazing and the toasted coconut flavor is yummy (only $3.50 on Etsy and will last a long time)!! I want to order some more of it in the other fun flavors! But here are some of the favorite products I've seen and hope to order!!

Second, The TV show Chopped!!


I am completely addicted to this show! reruns run on weeknights and the new ones are on at 9 pm Sunday nights! so entertaining and I always get so anxious to hear what they are going to pull out of the secret ingredient baskets and see what they will have to incorporate into their dishes!! If you like Hells Kitchen... you will love this show!!
and lastly, FunkyChunky!!


This online company is amazing and i sent Aaron a box of the delicious peanut butter pretzels for our 2 year anniversary!! They mailed it to his college campus and everything!!! They had amazing customer service and I am now a customer for life!!

so this was going to be the end of my blog.. But in the middle of my writing about the bridal show.. I got a call from a travel agent that I had won the honeymoon gift basket I entered in for!! :) I just got back from picking it up!! I think I have a gift for winning stuff!!! Two gift baskets!!! Anyways this was actually the one basket I really wanted!! check it out!! p.s. - Thank you Aaron for not only making me the happiest woman on earth by giving me a life with you.. but thank you for making me a bride!! :)

In other news.. I am completely addicted to looking up wedding stuff! Anything.. Cakes, dresses, receptions, food, venues.. anything you can think of! We haven't even set a date.. and won't until we can afford to support ourselves but something in my feminine heart just adores dreaming about the day! Especially now that its a reality! :) I can't wait to find the perfect dress and know that's the one I'm meant to wear! I can't wait to taste wedding cakes and decide the yummiest flavor! I can't wait to walk down the aisle and see the look on my best friend and man of my dreams face! But even more than these things I dream about and look forward to.. I mostly look forward to spending the rest of my life with my best friend :)

I know everyone who reads this is already married but.. seriously.. How awesome is it that you get to wake up next to the person you love every morning? I informed Aaron the other night on the phone.. "I even look forward to sharing tooth paste with you! Just think.. we will be using the same tooth paste! Every morning and night! Isn't that awesome? And we use the same face wash so we can just buy one and share it! You and me! Together!" It's the little things people! :)
